Hi, I'm new on here but thought I would join as I really could use some support and advise right now.  Approx. 5 weeks ago I noticed what looked like mucus when I wiped after going for a poo, a week later this had changed to blood.  I seemed to be loosing quite a lot of blood for the next 3 weeks, this has now changed again as I seem to be loosing a small amount of blood but not after every visit to the toilet but I do now have pains in the left side of my stomach which is getting quite uncomfortable. I am expecting a doctors telephone appointment today to expain what will happen when I go for a colonoscopy next week.  I am so worried at this point. 

So sorry to ramble on, just thought if I put things down in writing I may be able to make sense of what is happening.
