This is my first time posting on here... I start my radioactive iodine treatment tomorrow for my thyroid cancer. I'm feeling a little nervous - how did it make you feel?
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. Did you have the treatment today?
It didn't make me feel anything at all. It was just a matter of swallowing a capsule (I know you know that, but just in case anybody else who is currently awaiting treatment is reading this). I did have a nose bleed about 10 days later, which I suspect was related but that was all.
It really isn't anything to worry about. The rules afterwards can be a bit annoying, but coronavirus actually makes them a bit easier as everybody is socially distancing anyway. But I didn't feel anything anyway.
