Urachus adenocarcinoma

Hi would like to hear from anyone with my type of rare cancer urachus adenocarcinoma . I was first diagnosed in 2017. I had a surgery for a partial cystectomy followed by chemo. Life had been going well, but unfortunately it has now returned and the cancer has spread and I have started undergoing chemo, I have been told it is not curable but treatable. It would be good to talk to others going through the same.

  • Hello Toptherocker and welcome to Cancer Chat.

I'm very sorry to hear your cancer's back and has spread but I and the rest of the community will have our fingers and toes crossed that the chemo can get this under control.

As you're wanting to connect with others I've had a look through the forum for you and have only found one discussion about this diagnosis within our community. You're very welcome to join in and reach out to these members but as the last post was in February last year there is a chance you may not receive a response. I really hope that doesn't happen, but if you don't hear back then you could try connecting with others on the Rare Cancer Alliance forum. You may also find people with urachus adenocarcinoma through RareCan.

I hope this helps but if you'd like to have a chat with one of our cancer nurses about this you can contact them on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
