Hi Lynnie19, I feel your pain with this decision. I also have an invasive tumour which is Oestrogen positive and HER2 - I also have two different grades of DCIS in the same breast though. For me there wasn't so much of a choice because the other option would have left me with practically no breast at all and still a high risk that the cancer would return and so masectomy seemed the only sensible choice for me to get rid of cancer. However, I still listened to everything they said and did my own research (on legitimate sites) into the options and drew up a pros and cons list of my own, asking trusted friends and family to look at it objectively. I also checked things I was unsure about with the Breast Care Nurse and then whilst it wasn't a decision I relished making, I felt and still feel confident that it was the best decision I could make. You have to make your own decision, but I really hope that helped a bit. I'm still waiting for my surgery date and so I haven't come out the other side yet. It's not easy, but you can make the decision that's best for you. Virtual hugs Mickey x
