My father potentially has bladder cancer and has give up

Iv never done this but I don't know who to talk to? My dad has been having blood in urine for awhile now, and he has been in hospital he is still going through tests, Iv not had anything confirmed but he has said he doesn't want doctor telling me results outcome, he is nearly 78 and and gets bit confused and not able to have rational conversation as he gets irritated etc so I just want to be able to know if it's cancer how serious etc and what we can do if anything to treat, but I can't help if I don't know, I don't live with him my brother does but we don't get along but I'm trying but I know if my dad passes he will turn nasty, I'm so stressed about my dad as he is becoming a shell of what he was, I feel he has give up since my mum died of cancer in 2019, and feels guilty as they had poor relationship, I don't know what to do, Iv made appointments as easy as possible to get to with help of ambulances transport but I can't help if I can't get results from doctor as my dad is saying no, and he won't understand everything the doctor will tell him please help me
