I had mine this morning. Appt was 8.50 and i was home at 9.30. I was really scared before and couldnt decide  whether to have/or not have sedation.  the nurse was very reassuring and she said loads of people manage without sedation. So i went for it. The throat spray tastes rank and isn't pleasant. Once the camera thing passes your gag reflex its not so bad.  Halfway through i got a bit panicked and felt i was gagging a lot, nurse kept saying 'its nearly over'.  There was a bit of tummy pain when they push it through stomach.  Once it was out (relief) i felt absolutely fine.  so although its not pleasant and there is some discomfort its definitely doable. I just didn't want to hang around after  sedation or not be able to drive etc so this was the best option for me.
