My mum has found a lump under her breast and I am worried that it is IBC. The doctors have told her it's an infection but when I have read up it says that IBC is often misdiagnosed as an infection
I'm sorry to hear about your Mum's breast lump. It's understandable that you may be feeling worried but it's good to hear that she's already been seen by her GP.
I imagine that if the GP has told her this is an infection that she's been given some medication to treat it. If things don't improve then please do encourage her to go back to her GP who will be able to arrange a referral to the breast clinic if they think it's appropriate.
In the meantime, try to take things a day at a time and avoid searching Google for information as this may leave you feeling more anxious about things. Hopefully, things will settle for your Mum shortly.
