Millygaz

I was diagnosed with limited stage small cell lung cancer in July.I have undergone chemotherapy and radiotherapy concurrently.I have also had immunotherapy since my first chemo. As of my scans this week there is no trace of the tumour. My oncologist is now recommending PCI. I am very nervous about this and the possible side effects.Has anyone undergone this treatment and could share their experiences. Many thanks

  • Hello Millygaz and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.

I'm so pleased your treatment has been successful and your latest results show no trace of the tumour. That must have been wonderful news to receive

I hope some of our members who have had prophylactic cranial radiotherapy will be along soon to share their experiences and advice but in the meantime, you're welcome to have a chat about this with our cancer nurses on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I hope this helps and all goes well with the next part of your treatment.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
