I notice that nobody has replied to your post in the past couple of days. I am so sorry to hear about your mets. Can I ask what grade your cancer was originally?  I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 12 years. Fortunately, both were primaries and occurred within a year of each other. Have you discussed treatment with your care team yet?

Thanks so much for your reply. I was diagnosed 11y ago with Grade ! lobular ca. had the mastectomy, chemo and radiation. recently I had abdominal pain- ended up having a CT scan which showed mass in ovaries. The radiologist thinks that these are secondaries from the original lobularcancer. I have both ovaries removed tomorrow and am just hoping for the best

I can only imagine how you are feeling tonight.

I know when I had my second bout, I was terrified of secondaries, as I had lost my mum to secondary breast cancer. I believe that ovarian cancer can follow breast cancer.
