Left kidney removed

Hi All

Just joined the exclusive club.

Got left kidney removed 2 days ago, got home yesterday. I'm in so much pain but the worst is in the right side, don't feel like eating the thought makes me feel sick! I know it's early days but didn't think it would be this bad. Any advice please

sorry you feel so unwell , like you said it's only been two days so be kind to yourself .
maybe try soups and drink water small and often to help anaesthetic go through your body
times a healler and you have suffered trauma .Speak to your GP they may precribe something to help with sickness .
keep warm , try and rest to allowing healing

How are you feeling now, a bit better, I hope? Thanks for sharing your experience. You're the first post on here I've seen to mention kidney which is my "interest" shall we say.

Hi,
i was in a bad place when I posted last, but sorted out my pain relief, they only sent me home with paracetamol, and soon felt much better.
Well on the way to recovery now 4 weeks on, 5 very small scars and back almost normal. Off to see the surgeon this week to find out the results of the histology but have been told ct scan showed if it was cancer it hadn't spread anywhere else. Feeling incredibly lucky and thankful.
