Hello,

I've never really had a great concern of cancer in my life as I am only 27, while it is a fear of mine I have never had any symptoms until now. I am very worried I may have Bowel or Gastro Intestinal Concer.

I've had looser stools for a while now but that is fairly common for me, I've been feeling full all of the time recently and extremely tired. I work unsociable hours so that may be a reason for the tiredness. However around 5 days ago I found blood in my stool, a 5 pence piece sized blob. Following this I've been inspecting my stool and it's reddish in colour and smells very strongly of metal or copper.

I have spoken to my GP who has stated I may have IBS and has sent a stool sample test to me to have sent off. I am very worried because these symptoms just make me feel strange, I don't feel sick, feverish or sick in anyway but I know this isn't normal for me.

My mother has IBS and also an Iron deficiency so I'm going to bet on that first. However me posting here is me getting the stress off my mind.
