Lung Cancer

My Chest x-ray is on the 18 October 2021 and I'm really worried because I went to my doctor in early September and the hospital came back with this date of the 18th and I'm really worried that it might be 2 late.. I started with a cough in July and put it down to COVID I had a test and it came back negative so I started 2 courses of antibiotics over a 3 week period and my cough went but then I've started with back pain and it just won't go.. I've tried everything.. I'm worried I've had lung cancer and it's spread.

  • Hello Gimenez89

I'm sorry to hear that you've been dealing with a persistent cough over the past few months. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about things but it's good to know that you've already seen your GP and that an x-ray has been arranged.

Whilst it's natural to be worried try to remember that there could be many other reasons for the pain you've started to experience. However, as this is a new symptom that you've been unable to resolve it's certainly worth speaking to your GP to let them know. Hopefully, it's something simple that can be easily resolved.

I hope that your x-ray results give some reassurance and that things improve soon.

    Best wishes,
