Hi. I'm so sorry your partner is going through this - it's so tough waiting for someone to pass.  You know it's coming and the pain it will bring to someone you love - all you can do is be there always with hugs and understanding.  Also don't feel guilty for wishing it would happen sooner - the waiting is always so hard. It sounds like you are a very caring person so just be you and be ready to do whatever your partner needs when the time comes. The practical arrangements following a bereavement are hard and complex. You will come into your own then, prepared to offer help with anything needed - a rock for your partner to rely on while dealing with grief.
