Not always the worst case scenario

Hi

Last Thursday I went to my GP with a swollen breast which had been painful. I put it down to being kicked by my toddler but was not sure as I have not regularly checked my breasts for changes.  I have always had lumpy breasts and cysts, had a cyst removed several years ago, non cancerous so I nearly fainted when the GP told me I was going to be fast tracked to the breast screening unit as the swelling could be cancerous and I should prepare for the worst case scenario. Well I received a call the next day for an appointment the following Friday (today). I spent the last week worrying what was going to happen to my hubby and 3 kids youngest being only 3 and did not sleep for 2 days.  We are supposed to be moving next month taking on a bigger mortgage etc. I put everything on hold and prayed for good health. I called one of the nurses from this website on Tuesday and they reassured me that its was standard procedure as better to be safe. Most likely it would be nothing. Today I saw 2 consultants and had a mammogram and ultrasound and was given the all clear in under an hour. I have hormonal cysts and they are nothing to worry about. So just wanted to say it's not always the worst case scenario. Take care and keep positive xx
