Polyps

Hi,

So I was diagnoised pre menapause about 3 yrs ago by my previous GP, at the time I was perscribed Tranexamic Acid, which didn't really help, so I just battled on.

Last year we moved and registered with a new GP.  Roll forward to 2nd September and after bleeding for almost 7 weeks this time, I'd basically had enough and rang the surgery.  Had a call with him later in the day, various questions and then he perscribed Norethisterone, incredible stuff, litterely stopped bleeding within 3 days.

Fast track forward, 14th blood test, 17th ultrasound and transvaginal scan, where they have found a mass in my uterus, possibly Polyps.  I've already an appointment  for the 24th with the consultant.

I'ts all happened so fast but my GP and Hospital have been incredible to say the least.

So now it's just a matter of waiting to see what the consultant says next week.

I'm staying positive, with the support of my hubby

  • Hi Jolamine

So my blood test results came back a bit rubbish, iron deficiency anemia, vit B12 low and Hymoglobin 84

GP also wants to do a fit test now on top of everything else

Still trying not to think too much

    Hi Sparra,

Sorry to hear about your results so far. It sounds as if your GP is on the ball and I'm glad to hear that s/he is now planning a fit test. I hope that all goes well when you see the consultant on Friday.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • So the mass is quite large 5cm x 5cm, although confident all is okay.  Unfortunately after pre op today I'm not fit for surgery at the moment due to high blood pressure.

And to top it of I've started to bleed again, all be it quite light.

    So the saga continues

    Hi Sparra,

I am so sorry to hear this. You must feel quite disappointed. Where does this leave you now - has there been any move to try and bring your blood pressure down?

I do hope that it settles soon and that you can go ahead with your operation. Please keep us updated.

    Kind regards

    Jolamine xx
