Hi Karenk,
A very warm welcome to our forum. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 12 years, plus a few false alarms, so I have been through a number of biopsies. All I can say, is that the wait never gets any easier. Most of us would say that this is one of the worst parts of our cancer journey, as thereare so many unknowns and uncertainties.
I am glad to hear that you don't have much longer to wait. Try to keep yourself occupied with other distractions to help the time to pass a little quicker over the weekend.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Hi just joined this site reading different comments such an agonising wait for results I'm awaiting my appointment to see if my treatment has worked you feel so lonely at this moment hope all works out for you hang on in there my love thoughts are with you
Hi nicky
Thankyou yeah looking forwsrd to seeing marti tonight, 7 rows from the front I'll be throwing myself on the stage not the bra
Lots of love
Karen
Hi mickey
Yes the choice of a white or pink bra god he will be so turned on eh haha the rollercoaster dip is rubbish ive had plenty of them this week, last night i had a few violet gins and had the 80s on oh to be 17,18 again not a worry in the world eh! Its an expetience we wont forget thats for sure, something you think will ever happen to yourself just dreadful,;since the op on monday the dressing ive to keep on till i see the surgeon for the follow up on the 30th, the blood and bruising i hate looking at it,
be good for us all to meet up where ever we are, you are girls I'll never forget! Everyones stories are different but similar but we all feel the same, family and friends are supportive but only you girls know how each of us feel, and its a feeling you can't describe to anyone outwith our little group, its a low sinking feeling some days that you can't shake, very isolating at times, its in the back of your mind all the time, just want to wake up one morning and not have that black cloud feeling i pray on the 30th that he says no cancerous cells and no more surgery, nearly out of the woods but not quite, but I'll agree with all the girls the waiting is the worst part but we get through it, the strength comes from somewhere
Lots of love
Karen
Absolutely Karen, but for tonight you are on the highest part of that rollercoaster, so enjoy for all of us xx ️ ️ ️Love Mickey xx

Hi mickey
Its bruised but not as bad as i thought it would be, still swelled i want to see what its like under the dressing just see old blood dont know how big the wound is either, its hard to say, its tender and sometimes a dull ache
Karen xx
Hi Karen, I'm glad it's not as bad as you thought, but sounds very sore. When does the dressing come off and do you do that? Have you been able to sleep on that side? Take it easy, hugs Mickey ️ ️
Hi mickey
The dressing is to stay on unless it starts to come off and the paper stitches just to cut the corners of them if the stick comes away from them, the surgeons to take it off at my appointment according to the nurse that was looking after me and the booklet i got home ssys the same not to immerse it in water, my sleeping in general is just rubbish and having this is worse, still sore if i lie on my side but ive been sleeping with the post surgery bras which is a good support, im only a 36C so not the biggest of boobs but painful enough, just a dull ache just now
Karen xx
Hi Karen, thanks for letting me know. When is your next surgeon apt? Helpful tip re sleeping in post surgery bra, sleeping seems to be an ongoing problem whatever the stage of this journey. I'm also 36c, although canerous boob is reduced now (not that it matters), did you go for front or back fastening post surgery bras? I'm starting to look at those now, ever hopeful I'll get a date soon xx
Hi mickey
I went for the back fastening ones pack of 2 primark white and pink, i got the pyjamas, pack of 2 pants, and the 2 pack of socks, love the socks so soft and cozy, the pyjamas are nice and comfy went for the pj bottoms and sleeveless top v at the ftont and back then went back and bought the pj top with the buttons but looks nice with the top underneath and leave the pj top open so its like a 3 piece, the bras are really soft not the most flattering cause there is no under wire lol but a nice tight fit so you actually get a nice cleavage lol, its the range that supports breast cancer awareness not expensive at all, and everything is just so comfy i think I'll go for the matching dressing gown too lol
Love Karen xx
Sorry mickey see him on the 30th, hopefully by then the dressings off, looks grubby lol those dressings are put on with evo stick i think lol
Karen xxx
30th will soon be here Karen, I'm sure it's healing nicely, most important part xx thanks for the info re Primark, I've been told black is better for my op (bit messy I guess), but I'll certainly have a browse, so thanks very much xx Love Mickey xx
Hi mickey
Yeah have a browse you won't be disappointed xx
Love karen xx
