Hi Karenk,
A very warm welcome to our forum. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 12 years, plus a few false alarms, so I have been through a number of biopsies. All I can say, is that the wait never gets any easier. Most of us would say that this is one of the worst parts of our cancer journey, as thereare so many unknowns and uncertainties.
I am glad to hear that you don't have much longer to wait. Try to keep yourself occupied with other distractions to help the time to pass a little quicker over the weekend.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Hi just joined this site reading different comments such an agonising wait for results I'm awaiting my appointment to see if my treatment has worked you feel so lonely at this moment hope all works out for you hang on in there my love thoughts are with you
Hi again, I hope you feel a bit better after posting and I'm really pleased that Nikki and Lisa have already replied to you also, such a supportive network of ladies here. I just really wanted to say well done for persevering and being brave enough to go back to your GP when you finished breastfeeding and realised the lump still hadn't gone. I'm also really pleased you felt you were taken more seriously this time and the fact that they did the ultrasound and biopsies etc shows that. It's always hard waiting for results, we all find that, it's good that this time next week you will get your results. I just wanted to reassure you that even if the 'wasn't happy with' lump does not turn out to be benign, you will get through this. Breast cancer is highly treatable and you will be able to work and see your daughters grow up. You will get the right treatment and you're already reaching for the right support and we'll support if you want it at any time. Sorry for babbling on, I just felt your pain and hoped to ease your fears a bit, whilst ensuring you know it's completely natural to feel that way. I feel out of control most of the time and try not to think beyond my next appointment, that helps me focus a bit and get through, but we all have different ways of doing this. Be kind to yourself, that's most important. Virtual hugs Mickey xx
Hi Lisa, if you feel up to it you could always ring tomorrow afternoon and ask for the BCN to tell you if the MDT was heard and could she tell you the outcome? Or you can wait til Monday. You know I've had mixed experiences doing that, but it's made me feel a bit more like I'm trying to take some control back.
I had to laugh at your Niagra Falls comment on a bad day, so thanks for that, good to remember you can still giggle. But seriously look after and rest that arm xx
I'll keep you posted re Friday as I know you will Lisa. Awwww, you take care too my friend xx ️ ️
Thank you so much for your reply. I really appreciate it. And your advice. I waver between terrified and ok and pretending that life is normal. I am only 33 and the consultant was like it's not common in younger women. Yet half the women in the clinic whilst I were there looked about my age.
Thank you for your reply!
That sounds horrendous your appointment being cancelled!! I would be marching down to the department and demanding they tell me the results.
I hope you get answers soon.
What are core biopsies? I had the ones done with the punchy sounding needle. They left clips in so they could be seen on the mammogram next week.
xxx
My Core needle biopsy was done in the Mammogram machine, seven samples of tissue they took and put a marker in.
The Stereotactic vac biopsy was similar but more intense and larger needle another clip and my breast was still sore from the Core one, hopefully you will have results first time round so you don't have to go through more.
Wish you the very best for next week I'm going to chase this tomorrow!
You're most welcome, waivering between those emotions is 'normal' for want of a better word. Statistically, your age is on your side for a positive benign outcome and I'm keeping everything crossed for you. Here any time you need to 'offload' or chat x be kind to you, hugs Mickey xx
That's great advice Mickey, thanks so much xxx
Hi Girls
i am so sorry to post as I know everyone has their own worried I'm just so so worried
I had my results yesterday, Its Still stage 1a as not in my lymph Nodes,, I need too go back again to get a clear margin ( that's okay) it's HeR2-, I'm so worried though as it's now a grade 3 not a 2 as originally said!! I'm going out of my mind with worry that this will definitely re-occur after treatment. They have sent it off too America to be tested for re occurrence score and what treatment is best. The consultant didn't seem worried but I'm so scared that it's going too come back. I'm 38 with two young sons. I just feel so worried. Any advice would be good xxx
Hi Snow-Drop, I don't know but didn't want to go by without sending you some because of this worry.
Hopefully someone with knowledge will come on soon about that, stage 1a seems it is a good stage so that's very reassuring but someone with the mote experience will know more facts to explain it to you. There is a post called Grade 3 Breast Cancer and two ladies Magpiemaggie and Chriss seem very knowledgeable in this area xxx
I hope you find out soon to ease your worries
Love

Hi Lisa, you're most welcome. I expect you may not have had a reply, I know my BCN's say within 24 hours, but I just wondered if you did ring to chase re MDT today? Been thinking of you and hope you're ok. Love n hugs Mickey x ️

Hi Mickey
I eventually got through to BCN she tried her best to get me some information but the consultant and his secretary had gone home, but an appointment has now been made for Monday at 1.45 so that's a relief!
I hope you're okay too I'll be with you in spirit tomorrow, sending you love as well as courage to face what you have to.
In your own time let me know what happens or I won't be able to sleep!!!
Love Lisa xxx
Well done Lisa, at least you know the BCN was working on your behalf. Monday isn't too long to wait. Thank you, I've still got a headache, hoping I can control it today, thought it was the stress, but need to look at whether it could be a side effect of the codeine x I'll update you later, that's so lovely, thank you Lisa ️ ️ ️Xx
Hi everyone
I've just received a call from my breast nurse and everything is absolutely fine, no atypia or malignancy just fibrous changes with sclerosing and complex growth all benign and I'm being discharged.
I'm very happy but it hasn't matched my brain yet.
I'm quite list for words and going to see my mother for a big hug.
I'll stay on here, this experience has affected me and I want to be with you all as you go through the next challenging stages.
I am so grateful to each and everyone fir showing love ad support through the darkest of times
Waiting to go in, fabulous news Lisa - sooo pleased for you xx ️ ️ ️ ️
So pleased for you lisa great news, sending you lots of love

Thinking of you Mickey hugs and love xxx
I can't believe it Karen, my husband wrote it all down as my head and heart went in another direction!
I've got a complex sclerosing lesion that mimics cancer so they had to do more biopsies and a fibrocystic adenoma, I can't believe it!
Thank you so muvh for starting this thread, if it wasn't for you doing that I don't think I would've got through or functioned at all. You began this and it's overwhelming how we've all been raw and honest about our journey. So thank you so much
Forever grateful
Awww i am so overwhelmed, that is such a lovely thing to say, ive been really low since Monday, ive been messaging jolamine yous have had so much on your plates too, i really thought you had a radial scar, because everything that you said was the same as what i was told, that rhe mammogram mimics a cancer, and the biopsies sounded the same as mine, its a journey and a half thats for sure! I am so pleased everything has turned out to be great news you must be overjoyed! At the sane time its all such a shock to the system! But everyone is amazing on this page, so many brave women, so many different stories but all so supportive to each other, for some reason at the moment im just an irritated moaning b**** lol but that has made my day what you said thank you so much
Lots of love
Karen xxx
