Hi Karenk,
A very warm welcome to our forum. I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 12 years, plus a few false alarms, so I have been through a number of biopsies. All I can say, is that the wait never gets any easier. Most of us would say that this is one of the worst parts of our cancer journey, as thereare so many unknowns and uncertainties.
I am glad to hear that you don't have much longer to wait. Try to keep yourself occupied with other distractions to help the time to pass a little quicker over the weekend.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx

Thank you so much for sharing your experience June. Yes they've talked about checking margins, I'm wondering if this is what my MRI is for? Apparently I have too much dense tissue in my breast to see anything on a mammogram. So you have avoided chemo?
lots of love ️
Hey Mickey
I have just spoken to my BCN who has confirmed my CT scan is clear, no spread!! The relief is unreal, I am shaking!
Nikki xx
Hi Mickey,
Yes, my second cancer was grade 1, pure mucinous breast cancer - exactly the same as the first. The pathology results after my first surgery showed that my surgeon hadn't achieved a clear margin. My surgeon assured me that he had realised this at the time and taken more tissue away, so there was no need to carry out further surgery.
My personal feeling is that he still hadn't taken enough, but I was assured at the time of my second cancer that it was a new primary and not related to the first. I'm sure that you'll feel better once you know exactly what you are dealing with.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Hi Lisa,
I've been thinking of you today and hope that it's all gone well today and that it wasn't too sore.
Regards,

Thinking of you today Mickey xx
Thanks Jolamine
It was an awful experience but I'm home now watching Christmas movies and eating chocolates to get over the shock!
I am really confused about what has been fed back today, the radiologist consultant told me there is no radial scar and that I'm having this done so they can be thorough as they don't like the abnormal finding on mammogram but then she said it's a benign finding, I feel like I'm in a dream!
I've got a wrap around dressing on as I bled quite a bit but not in any pain now.
Hope you're well Jolamine and thank you for thinking of me xxxx
Oh amazing news Nikki, sending you a great big hug
Thank you! Hope you are feeling a bit brighter today xx
Definitely getting better. I have so much support around me, feeling very loved right now. X
