Hi Val,
Youre more than welcome, that waiting is sooo difficult. In my case I do know it's cancer now, but I don't know the full extent yet. I know I really struggled waiting for the first set of results. Originally my consultant said he wouldn't tell me anything until they had them all and that was going to be circa six weeks. However, when the lump results came back positive they wrote to me with a breast surgery clinic apt, which at the time knocked me for six. All the support on this site has helped me better manage the anxiety and know we're not alone in this journey, no matter how different our results may be.
I totally get what you mean, I've had to learn to better manage their feelings, as it is so hard for them too and we all do this in different ways x
I hope you don't have to wait too long and keep posting if it helps you. Hugs Mickey xx
Hi Val,
A very warm welcome to our forum.
Try not to worry. More people get called back after their first mammogram than after any other. This is because the radiologists don't have anything to compare your images to. The MDT (multidisciplinary team) meeting is a routine meeting held by your consultant to discuss the results of all the scans and biopsies prior to giving you your results and care plan if needed.
Unfortunately, the way you felt yesterday and today is all part and parcel of this waiting process. It is not at all unusual to find yourself an emotional wreck. Many of us find ourselves crying and very short tempered. Crying is not a bad thing, as it is a great stress reliever. Irrespective of which way your results go, you will find it easier to cope once you know what you are up against
I do hope that you will hear soon after tomorrow's meeting, as the unknown is a scary place to be. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolmine xx

Hi Val
It's an absolute shock to the system, I've had that many meltdowns I could write a novel about them!
My MDT meeting was finally done today and I will receive my results from the seven core biopsies tomorrow, I've had them delayed for over a week due to a backlog in pathology, the wait is terrible.
I wish you all the best for tomorrow, please let me know what happens.
Will be thinking of you
Take care
Love Lisa xxx
Hi Lisa,
I hope that you finally get your results tomorrow.

Will be thinking of you today Lisa xx
Finally results are in...
The pathology report came back all the biopsies were clear, fibrous changes, possibly radial scar, it's non atypia (Whatever that means)
However, even though it was graded a b2 the radiologist mentioned the results didn't match the mammogram finding so I'm having a Vacuum Assisted Biopsy next week.
I do feel relieved but it's not matching my brain yet, I'm a bit confused!
Can anyone tell me if this is positive because I've got family thinking that's it move on now - but I'm unsure wth having to have another VAB.
What is the VAB after pain like, is it same as Core Biopsy?
Thank you all so much, the support you've given I will never forget it, I will be forever grateful to you all
Thank you so much Mickey
Hi Lisa, pleased the original biopsies came back clear. Do you know if the vacuum assist biopsies will be under mammogram or ultrasound. Mine was under mammogram but others have been under ultrasound. They basically set you up and vacuum out tissue or in my case microcalcifications so they can check those out also. I hope that helps. They are being thorough, I still had to have it even though they knew I had cancer, so is a positive they are being thorough I think. Yes, it's more of a wait though, sorry! Any idea on timescales? Thinking of you Mickey xx
