Osaphagus cancer stage 4

Hi new to the site diagnosed with stage 4 osaphagus cancer 3 weeks ago, still waiting to see chemo doctor to see what treatment i shall receive, unoperable they say pallitive and chemo only options, shall keep you posted heres hoping

  • Hi Goldie,   I'm so sorry to hear your news.  I can imagine you feel shell shocked.   Hopefully you won't have to wait too long now to speak to the chemo doctor and they can explain all your options.  Maybe even if it is not operable now, the chemo could give you options for the future?   My husband is going through treatment for oesophageal cancer at the moment.  So I am a worried onlooker.   There are a group of people on this forum on [@RayB]‍'s discussion . Maybe if you feel up to it you could have a look through, there are some inspirational people on this forum, and maybe you will feel a bit less alone.

  • Hi I've been diagnosed with a inoperable OC in July just had my 4th chemo session. Did have a nasal feed tube fitted which fell out but managing at times to have purried food, sometimes I need to clear my throat sometimes I'm ok. I'm not really in any pain just can't sleep lucky if I get 4hrs

Getting married at the end of the month to my absolute fantastic strong partner, I ride a scooter so I'm still booking one or two trips even for next year just trying to be positive cheers me up.
