going to start radiotherapy , what are the side effects?

Hi , I'm new here

I been diagnosed with tonsil cancer , I'm going to have radiotherapy and Cisplatin chemotherapy next week . I want to know the side effects of radiotherapy. I have read the leaflet of course but I want to know about salivary glands and burning of the skin and any side effects

Hi there
I've had radiotherapy for a tumor on my arm and after the 5 weeks I had really bad burning on my skin was really sore and itchy for about 2 or 3 weeks after radiotherapy then my skin started to heal nicely

You will be fine just don't put the cream they give you on the skin if it's peircing because it really stings
