CIN1 concerns

Can anyone please help????

Hi, Ive just currently turned 24 and I got diagnosed with CIN 1 over a month ago as I was bleeding between periods and went to doctors who sent me for a biopsy which said I have CIN1 which I believe is pre cancerous cells on the cervix which I think has been triggered when I gave birth to my son 11months ago. However at this moment in time I feel like it's got worse as I've been bleeding for 11days and it's bright red blood so not like my usual periods. I know this is a long shot but has anyone else experienced this I'm really concerned and also getting tired of having to wear sanitary products constantly and having to spend so much money. When this started I only bled for 7/8days and I would have dark blood at start and end of bleeding but this time round it's constantly a bright red/pink colour??

  • Hello Smhvfh19 and welcome to Cancer Chat,

I think as it's got worse recently and you are experiencing this bright red/pink bleeding, it would be a good idea to give your GP a call and to mention that you are having to wear sanitary products constantly and that you have been bleeding for 11 days. This is something they will want to know about so do give your doctor a call. I hope you find out soon too when you will have treatment for your CIN1 - you can find out more about this on this page.

I hope that you will hear from others here who have experienced this before and that they will be along to share their story with you. Hopefully you can get some good advice soon from your doctor and I hope this bleeding subsides soon.

    Best wishes,

  • Thank you, I will give them a call on Monday and see what they say.

    Thank you for the advice.
