My GP wrote a later referring me to the gynelogical (so?)team, but made an error so the letter went in a week late. Now due to the bank holiday the hospital is running behind. I'm starting to get very anxious. Has anyone else had this?
Oh no what a shame that because of this error, the letter went in a week late and that the bank holiday has delayed things further. It's normal to be anxious when dealing with a long wait to be seen. It won't be long now hopefully for the hospital to catch up and fingers crossed that you get your appointment letter very soon. All you can do for now is be super patient and wait, keeping distracted if you can and resisting the urge to look anything up online as this would only make you feel even more anxious. If you feel you need reassurance as to how long it might take to hear back from them, perhaps you could ring the hospital and ask for guidance and see whether they might be able to update you on how long it might take for you to be seen.
