Hi. How many U4 thyroid nodules are cancer?
Hi Charlie and welcome to Cancer Chat.
I'm not sure our members can really answer this question but our lovely team of cancer nurses should be able to help so if you'd like to find out more then do give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.
Kind regards,

Thank you, I will do. I'm waiting for my results as I've had my right thyroid out 2 weeks ago. I'm trying not to think about it but can't help it sometimes.
Just in case it provides some reassurance, I had thyroid cancer and it really isn't as bad as you might be fearing - not saying it is likely you have cancer, but even if you DO. I had my thyroid removed and was back at work, feeling pretty much fine a month later.
Hope you get the all-clear but even in the worst case scenario, you should be OK. The most common form of thyroid cancer has a near-universal survival rate.
Hi. Thank you for your reply, glad your all better. was you feeling unwell or was it a bit of a shock? I don't feel poorly, although I'm just getting better from my thyroid op. It's lovely to hear from someone that has been through the waiting stage.
Didn't feel unwell at all. My GP just noticed a lump on my neck when I was at the surgery for a totally unrelated issue and said it should be checked out.
Feel free to ask if there is anything you want to know.
Hi Charlie.
what were your results? I currently have a U4 nodule. First fna inconclusive and now waiting on results of second. So scared.
