Hi all,
First of all sending big hugs and positive vibes to all my fellow HPV friends, I know what a scary time this is.
I was diagnosed HPV positive with no abnormal cells last year and have a follow up smear booked for next week, I am hoping for a positive result but will deal with whatever the result is the best I can.
Like so many others I was shocked and went into total free-fall when I received my letter but I have done a lot of research since then and know more about this virus than I did 12 months ago, and one thing I know for sure..worrying, isnt going to change anything.
Its ok to be scared, to question who you caught it from and to question what happens now, to be angry and to cry....its a reaction we all have (I still do) ...but don't let this take over your life, HPV is more common than you think and testing is there to help...
Knowledge is power..as is support from this forum and the wonderful people on it , remember to ask as many questions as you need..we are all going through this together....
Stay safe everyone xx
