Hi,
Im very new to forums and found this looking for information online like many of us probably have whilst looking for information to help ease our minds and find out how many of us have coped and what decisions to make?
Since my late 20's I have had so many gyne issues and painful heavy periods, had multiple laparoscopic procedures to find out why we couldn't get pregnant then in 1999 finally fell pregnant two days before going for IVF and have our miracle daughter but 15 yrs later started having issues ovarian cysts to large fibroids all being removed via major surgery. I had a myomectomy 8yrs ago to remove a fibroid the size of a large grapefruit which grew so quick and made me look 4 months pregnant! Myomectomy was fine they removed it thankfully it as begin but it took a while to get back on my feet.
Few years passes and you start to think great all sorted and back to my normal self but nope!, started to have very heavy periods feeling of fullness in my lower abdomen and pressure, again but this time huge blood clots and being caught out in shops! Thinking my period had stopped to random gushes in public places which is just the worse think ever! Plus a new lower back painful backache that I have never had before and constantly being on my periods/bleeding for over 5 months now which had made me anemic and starting to lower my hemoglobin too!?,
I had an MRI scan to confirm reoccurrence of my fibroids and also mentioned a endormetrial polyp which is protruding into my cervical canal didn't know you could get polyps in your uterus either?? Had a hysterscopy to check and remove cells and came back clear had to wait over 9 month to fianlly have my hopefully removal of the said polyp!
To try cut it short I had my hysterscopy under general anesthetic yesterday which was ok hoping to get the polyp removed but unfortunately the surgeon said it was bigger than they envisioned and that he got some and enough to send to histology?? He used the myosure but said they had to try and use another price of equipment but also failed!
The only conversation for treatment going forward from my surgeon was a hysterectomy once my results come back from the lab, Worried sick!? which scares the he'll outta me and I'm hoping some of you lovely suffering ladies could help me to see the pros and cons of a possible hysterectomy to be honest I would rather have another myomectomy just to keep what I need for now but he doesn't recommend!?
would really welcome some kind advice from ladies with the same experiences
