14 week wait biopsy results

Hi

Was wondering if anyone else has had to wait so long for biopsy results? I have phoned a few times over the last 14 weeks and keep getting told that pathology department have had annual leave which is why there is such a backlog but I just feel this is a really long time to wait worrying.

    I think that is an awful long time to wait I would call my GP and ask them to get this sorted out.

    I had a Biopsy on 5th August returned for results on 12th to be told they are not ready had a call with the Dr this afternoon to be told again they are not ready due to needing more pathology.  The Dr is calling me back on Wednesday to discuss further.

    14 weeks must be torture I would call everyday to get them moving!

    It has been a very stressful 14 weeks. Thank you for your reply and I hope you get your results a lot sooner and don't have to wait as long as I have. I phoned them again today and they just said the same thing about backlog but apparently my Dr is doing his admin work tonight and I should get my letter within a week. Just want to know my results one way or the other so I know what is going on, it is so hard to try to keep my mind off it now after this long waiting x
