Colonoscopy

So, new to this site. Driven myself crazy over past few weeks, my mind has taken me to the worst possible scenario that I haven't got long left. Stupid I know, try to think positive but has been a horrible year already. Have a virtual ctc booked for tomorrow and whilst I am pleased I haven't had to wait too long, wondering what they will find and suspect it won't be good news, as symptoms have been ongoing from last October. Consultant advised virtual, as safer due to having diverticulosis, however may still need a normal colonoscopy if they find something.

  • Hi Ladybugd and welcome to the forum.

I hope your virtual CTC went well yesterday but if you have anything playing on your mind that you may have forgotten to bring up at the appointment then you're very welcome to give our cancer nurses team a call to talk things through. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

I know you've been contending with your symptoms for quite some time now but I and the rest of the CC community will have our fingers crossed for a good outcome when the results come through.

    All the best,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
