Male breast cancer

Any males out there who have had breast cancer. I have had pain in left nipple if touched or if I exercise. This has then resulted in myself rubbing my breast to see if there is a lump. I would say the mass under the nipple and around seems harder. Lump under nipple. But the  there seems to be a lump on the right side and now I cant decide if I'm just being paranoid. Be good to know what others have experienced cancer or non cancer. I an contemplating a doctors appt next week but dont want to look a fool when they say its normal

    As you are worried about this lump, I think it would be a good idea to go and see the doctor next week and bring it up. You won't look like a fool and the doctor is there to give you reassurance too so it's a good idea to just get it looked at for peace of mind. So don't hesitate to make an appointment and to explain all this to your GP. 

    I hope you will hear from other men who have had similar symptoms and a lump under the nipple and that they will be along shortly to share their experience with you.

    Hi M17el,

    You are not the only male to have this problem and there are others on this site who have had this experience. Here's hoping that some of them will come along soon. 

    I totally agree with Lucie. You certainly won't look like a fool if you consult your GP and, it would be sensible to do this straight away. If you ask the receptionist for an urgent appointment and explain why, you shouldn't have so long to wait. You will probably get a telephone consultation first, then your GP will decide whether to see you or refer you.

    I do hope that nothing untoward is found, but pplease let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
