Waiting for breast biopsy results

Still waiting for the results which, were promised by telephone but all I got was an appointment with which I answered what's it for ? why an appointment ? Oh I'm just the secretary she replied but I said 7/10 days result wait is now 16 so what are the results please ? Oh I can't give you them she replied, I'm just booking your consultation appointment she replied do I ring my doctor who told me that's not good enough and she advised me to ring PALS she was very helpful and has requested my biopsy results to be sent to me before my appointment

    How frustrating this must have been for you to not have received your results yet. It sounds like this secretary was very helpful and the biopsy results will be sent to you before your appointment which is reassuring. She also gave you some good advice to ring PALS. The Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) offers confidential advice, support and information on health-related matters. They provide a point of contact for patients, their families and their carers and you can find your nearest PALS service on this page.

    I hope you receive your results very soon and that you won't have to wait long for your consultation appointment.

    The system needs to be changed as I've read so many stories of women being made to wait for results it's not fair on their well being or mental health and stress levels do not help cells either
