is it breast mets to lung

Hi all.this is my first post so im sorry of its not in the right place. 12 years ago I had invasive ductal carcinoma of left breast, no lymph node involvment but lymphovascular involvment present, I'd surgery, chemo and radiotherapy. Lately ive not been feeling very well totally whacked so so tired, constant sweats worse than usual, breathlessness, GP did bloods and gave me folic acid, I explained how unwell I feel and he arranged an xray then last week I got a letter to go for a CT scan that im having today, I rang the GP to find out why the CT, he said the xray showed a spot on lower left lung, so thats the reason, Im terrified its breast cancer mets or a new cancer thats lung. Also wondering how long it will take to get results

  • Hello sha-sha and a warm welcome to our forum!

I am sorry to hear you have been feeling so unwell lately. How did the CT scan go? Did you find anything out or are you just still waiting for the results?

I can imagine it is a really stressful time for you at the moment as you are kept in limbo waiting to find out more. It mentions on this page that it usually takes 1-2 weeks to get your results so it shouldn't be too long now before you have a bit more clarity on all this.

I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious.

I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.

Keeping everything crossed for you that everything turns out fine. Keep us updated if you get a moment on what you find out.

    Best wishes,
