I certainly wouldn't advise you to take any water tablets without discussing this with your care team first. I had a double mastectomy 11 years ago and had a series of seroma after it. I had my breast drained of fluid on a few occasions before it settled, but I didn't have any fluid in the area for more than a month before it dispersed.
