First appt at the clinic… do they give you an indication?

Hi all

i have an appt at the breast clinic on Tuesday. I found a small lump on the side of my breast near my armpit. GP referred me on but said he wasn't worried as I am under 30. He said it was smooth and moveable (to me it feels connected to breast tissue so when you move that then it moves, I'm not sure the actual lump moves).

I know I'm likely to have an ultrasound, but not a mammogram

as I'm under 30. Do the nurses / dr give you an indication of what they think at this appointment? Or do you have to wait for the results of any biopsy?

Very anxious about all of this.

    I was recalled from screening so had further mammogram and ultrasound plus biopsy. The consultant told me then it was cancer but I would have to wait for biopsy results to confirm. When I went back for confirmation I was then booked in for surgery.

    It has all been removed but due to the type I had I've just started chemo and will also need radiotherapy.

    Do you have an appointment yet?
