Colorectal and secondary liver cancer

Hello. My husband has been diagnosed with recurring colorectal cancer, which has one back for the third time. It's spread to his liver, peritoneal, prostate and water pipe. He had major surgery last year to remove the tumour from his bowel, chemo and radiation on his liver. It was quite a shock that it's returned again. All appointments have been over the telephone so far and his prognosis is a bit vague. He's on chemo for 3 months and then they'll see where he's at.
Has anyone else had a diagnosis like this and gone on to get the all clear?
thank you for reading if you've got this far!

  • Hello Budgies1978

I'm sorry to hear that your husband has been diagnosed with cancer for the third time. I can imagine that it came as a great blow to you both particularly after all the treatment that he underwent last year.

I hope that he's managing without too many side effects on the chemo that he's being given. I'm unsure if we've any members here who have found themselves in similar circumstances but hopefully, if there are, they will post to share their experiences with you.

In the meantime, if you'd like to speak to one of our team of nurses you're most welcome to give them a call. I'm sure they will be happy to chat things through with you and offer any advice, information, and support that they can. They're available Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm on 0808 800 4040.

Keep in touch and let us know how you're both doing.

    Best wishes,
