Superclavical lymph node

I'm new here and to be honest scared stiff! Doc diagnosed me with an enlarged (left side) superclavical lymph node yesterday and is referring me for an ultrasound which could take up to 8 weeks. Good ole Dr Google has me pushing up daisies in 6.  Any positive words or stories to help me through.....

    Welcome to Cancer Chat. Hopefully it won't take too long to receive your appointment, as I know the waiting and uncertainty is difficult.

    I would encourage you to steer clear of Google - it doesn't tend to be helpful as the information is often irrelevant and not specific to you, and can increase worries.

    While you wait do try to keep your mind off things by keeping busy, focusing on things you enjoy, avoiding Googling, and so on.
