i had a sore throat and some ear pain for six months ! I did go private in the end once my lymph nodes started swelling . If you can afford it ( from memory with the consults etc it was about 500) I would definitely go that route . As even if your GP makes a referral you are still having to wait weeks probably to be seen . Private hospitals are getting wait lists now so if you can then do it now  . Keep positive it may also be nothing sinister . X x x

i am going to email a few private places today and start ringing on Tuesday , as bank holiday tomorrow not sure I'll get through to anywhere 

I am so worried , and  it's so hard to get a face to face appointment with a doctor now

All good now thank you Deb. Husband has been clear for 2 years & I have been clear for a year . If this does turn out to be cancer for you , as brutal as the treatment is , it's a good one to get as the outcome is usually in your favour . A private doctor Will see you , I'm in Hertford if that's any help , we can't write the name of the hospitals here they will just remove it . So you can message me & I can help if I can with where I went . We have been so lucky with this bank holiday weather . Have a happy day . X x x

ps once diagnosed I was put through the NHS and it was quick . X
