    Hi Trees,

A very warm welcome to our forum, although I'm so sorry to hear why you've joined us. This sort of news is always a shock. Instead of berating yourself about it, just remind yourself that we can all be wise after the event.  There is nothing that you should feel guilty about. It does take some time to accept the diagnosis. Just try to support your mum as much as possible. Be there for her, tell her how much you love her and try to make as many memories as you can. Talk to her and don't leave anything left unsaid.

I lost my own mum to cancer and have since had 2 bouts myself. With the benefit of hindsight there are a number of things I would have liked to talk to her about, but it's too late now. Are the doctors going to give your mum any treatment?

Please keep in touch and let us know how you are both coping. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
