Hi there

I just wondered if anyone has, has had or thinks they may have tongue cancer?

I have this raised part on the side of my tongue and although I intend to call or take a photo etc. for the doc ..... so difficult to get an appointment at the moment ..... I haven't done as yet. 

I remember going to my old GP many, many moons ago (double figure years, I should think!) re: a raised area and he said it was nothing. So long ago it must have been nothing! But I can't remember which side it was .... Anyway, have this raised area on the side of my tongue, possibly soft, possibly fluid filled? (only what it looks like) but very well defined and seems to have a vein runnning through it! 

Just wondered if any of you out there may have had something similar?? I do play in a band and sing harmonies, so I guess surgery and treatment etc. would affect not only my speech, but also the singing.....

Many thanks to anyone who has had experience and may reply to my message. I am, of course, really worried.
