Hi jaykay2020
I'm new to this too. Had my dcis Lumpectomy 3 weeks ago and heading for results tomorrow! Mine was thankfully mega small (8mm) and I'm grateful for the screening programme. Have been focusing on getting better after op and haven't thought re next stage until today. Trying to cram in info but really think my consultant and nurse will lead me through the appointment. Trying to keep to 'don't worry about what you don't know until you have something to worry about!'
Not too sure I'm succeeding! I've found going for walks helps, building up further each day! Speed is not as fast as normal as the bounce is uncomfortable!
Just thought it worth letting you know you're not alone!

Thank you for replying. I have not been diagnosed yet just biopsies taken in breast and lymph nodes so im just scared while waiting but they did say they are concerned which makes me think its not good news. i did have a couple of good days of trying to not worry but struggling again today.
No worries. It's difficult not to worry! I tried to keep myself busy so less time to worry. I hope your appointment isn't too many days. I was amazed at how quickly things happened. My surgeon and nurse were very easy to talk to. Have you thought of chatting to the nurses if you haven't been allocated a specific one?
Hi,
I had 3 biopsys taken on Friday 14th May (2 from my breast and 1 from lymph nodes) this is due to them looking suspicious. My appointment for the results was made and its tomorrow I go back. The last 10 days has been a worry, I have tried to stay positive but its very difficult. Its very normal to fear the worst as that's how I am feeling.
Hope you get your appointment for the results soon.

Hi FionaJ,
Welcome to our forum. Your wait is nearly over. Waiting for results is always difficult. I sincerely hope that you get clear margins. The 'bounce' can be uncomfortable for quite a while yet, but it will eventually settle down.
Please let us know how you get on tomorro. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx

HI Jaykay,
It is perfectly normal for us to be up one minute and down the next. Were you told when your results should be back? I hope that you don't have much longer to wait.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
I think it's normal to fear the worse. Prepare for the worse then anything else is good.
I had to wait nearly 4 weeks for my results which I found so hard. Had the results yesterday (but still need the Her2 to come back) and I have to have treatment, starting with chemo then surgery.
Another wait now for the Oncologist appointment....
I am getting my results tomorrow and i think that is why last night and today are worrying times as i will know soon what is going on. Apparently the waiting for results is the worse times as you imagine the worse but at least once you know you have a plan of action and a direction.
Good luck poppy with the results.
hope it went well xx
