Lump in neck for months

Firstly I find myself here to try and help someone else! Having lost my mum to cancer 18months ago I have a huge amount of health anxiety! Just when I thought I had got on top of this a little bit I found a lump of the left side of my neck! It was quite small probably around the size of a grape and felt different in all different positions!

I went to the doctos in Dec 2020 and he wasn't sure but said he would refer me for blood tests, and then keep an eye on it.... my bloody come back all okay! Nothing changed so I left it a month & was advised to call again..... this time I saw a different doctor I was advised that they would refer me to ENT on a 2 week emergency..... due to covid I had a telephone call and they said as I've had the lump 3months now they wasn't worried but they said the normal "if you start losing weight or wake up with night sweats come straight back" in the meantime I spent hours and hours trawling this site looking for answers! And convinced myself it was something sinister!

Fast forward another 2 months and I want to the dentist for a check up they felt my neck and urged me to make an emergency appointment straight away.... I called the doctors who referred me again and this time I was seen!

The ENT doctor was lovely and done as many tests as he could including camera down my nose & throat, he also referd me for an ultrasound!

Whilst I was chatting to the doctor he noticed I had a flaky scalp and said he though that was the issue! And my reactive node was blocked due to this so he prescribed me with some medicated shampoo and I felt that it was actually improving slightly but I wanted to wait for the scan to be sure..... fast forward to today and a lovely lady done my scan & agreed it was normal looking node and she would also blame the flaky scalp! She said it affects the filtration in nodes and causes them to block and swell.... it normally effects the nodes under ears but can affect any!

I wanted to share incase anyone has anything similar! I know through all the nights and hours I've trawled this site I've never heard of this before & my flaky scalp is something Ive suffered with for years.
