Grade 4 glioblastoma

Bit of info I'm a male 46 years old, I have six ( yeah I know ) kids  23,22,20,14,11 and 10.

So this month has been a bit of a shock, start off with what I thought was vertigo, go to the dictors to get some anti sickness so I could carry on working, they thought I'd had a silent stroke, ended up I have a primary brain tumour grade 4 glioblastoma, they can't operate in it suddenly I'm booked in for chemo and radiotherapy. 

still trying to take it all in really, what advise can anyone give there seems to be so much to sort out, we've told my children which is the hardest thing I think I've ever had to do. Although I'm actually surprised most of them seem to have taken it on board fairly well for now, I know it's not going to be easy but any advice anyone can give I'd be most greatful.

    I am so sorry for your diagnosis. I cant offer any advice im afraid as tecnically my husban is in the same boat. He had a blackout on 6th december 2020 and has been having MRI but they were looking for epilepsy . then 4 weeks ago, he woke up with a headache and very poor coorsination. I took him to the hospital as we thought he had had a stroke , only to find he had a bleed on the brain and they found the tumour. He has had surgery and started chemotherapy and radiotherapty today. 

    I/we are still navigationg our way around his diagnosis and I wih you teh very best for your coming treatment

    Good morning. I was diagnosed and operated on in July 2019. I was getting ready for work when I noticed my face had dropped on the right hand side. The ambulance crew thought I had a stroke initially, however after a CT scan they believed it was a tumour. Transfer to another hospital where they believed it was a cost, it took a week before they confirmed GBM4 tumour. I was given the same timescale and am still here. I have an MRI every 3 months and so far it is stable. I agree the worst part was telling my kids but as with yours they were resilient about it. I am 59 and my wife took it hard initially. I have mood changes occasionally but I have been told that is due to the medication. Take each day as it comes
