BCC on Forehead

I had a small scaly patch on my upper forehead ignored it thinking it was nothing, it became red and slightly raised over a few months. Dermatologist said it was sun damage he did nothin* at that point. Before next 6 monthly check up it had become more noticeable and I was starting to get discomfort up into my scalp and down my face and my eye felt as though it was being affected. Following a biopsy it was diagnosed as a Ulcerated BCC. It was thought to be sub type nodular. 4 month waiting list with NHS for Mohs in that time started to notice  lesion had grown from 8 mm to 20 mm in space of a few weeks. Asked for a review and after consideration I was placed on urgent list. 2 weeks later mohs surgery under taken to remove the BCC which was in the end infiltrative and aggressive. It had been growing fast and following the path of nerves in my face and scalp and had been causing sensation changes to my eye. Mohs removed 25mm diameter of skin to full depth of muscle. Two surgeries on same day very long day at hospital. 3 lots of anaesthetic. Wound left to heal by secondary intention not something I had ever experienced. After surgery my eye felt better.
The first  two weeks very difficult. Dressing changes every other day and I needed help as could not look at it. After 6 weeks wound has healed and nerves across forehead and scalp to top of my head healing but numbness still present. Not something you would want to go through if you had a choice but the alternative to do nothing was not acceptable  because that would in the end have been worse. Surgery and healing period hard but would advice to do it rather than have cancer not all BCC's are slow growing.
