Liz - issues with colostomy after anal cancer 4 years ago

I had cancer 4 years ago it was annul cancer I had radiotherapy 5 days a week,unfortunately I suffered damage from this, and unable to walk far as I have nureopathy damage, I have had to have a colostomy fitted, I am passing bowel movement all day, recentenly I am always hungry but when I eat I feel nauseous, is there a reason for this.

    We do have some information on coping with a colostomy bag after anal cancer just here but if you were assigned a stoma nurse do be sure to have a chat with them about this as they'll be able to answer your questions and hopefully put your mind at ease.

    Our lovely team of cancer nurses are available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m if you'd like to get their thoughts on this as well but fingers crossed some of our members who have experienced this or are also living with a colostomy will be along soon to offer their support and advice.
