Dad's diagnosis today - Colon with secondary lung cancer

Hi Everyone,

I have been on here a bit recently while we awaited my Dad's results. Today we have recieved them and I am scared.

I live in England. He lives in Ireland and I fear how much time I have missed and may miss to be there with him.

I would love to know some of your stories that might bring positivity or comfort. X

  • A warm welcome to the Cancer Chat community Nol although I'm sorry to hear of dad's diagnosis.

It's natural, and completely understandable, to be scared but I hope it helps to know you're not alone on this journey as many of our members find themselves in similar positions so will know what you're going through at the moment and will hopefully stop by when they can to offer their support and share their experiences with you as well.

I'm not sure how much you know about this diagnosis but you can click here if you'd like to find out more. We also have a lovely team of cancer nurses available on 0808 800 4040 if you'd like to talk things through with them. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.

    Best wishes to you both,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
