Welcome to Cancer Chat. I'm sorry to hear of the situation you're in and I can certainly understand your concerns. I would encourage you to discuss these concerns around the necessity of the hysterectomy with your doctor/specialist when you can, as they will be best placed to advise. As you say, I'm sure you'll get the opportunity to do this once you get the results of the scan.

Thank you for your kind words.  I did speak to one of your nurses who was much more understanding and helpful than my doctor.  I'm very glad I came across this forum because it is reassuring to know that so many other people are in the same boat, waiting anxiously for results with very little information.

Hi I am in exactly the same position, can I ask what the outcome was? I have a large polyp, hysteroscopy abandoned die to stenosed cervix. Waiting on follow up mri. MRI showed nothing sinister except they can’t tell for sure if polyp is benign or not. Options another mri in 3 months or hysterectomy… I’ve had breast cancer and would rather not go through more surgery. Do let me know. X
