Hello

Hi everyone

I just joined today. I have a cyst in my breast and usually check my breasts every month. I had a pacemaker fitted two months ago so haven't been checking due to the pain and swelling. I checked a couple of weeks ago and it was a lot bigger.

I have family members who have had breast cancer so considered high risk. I had my appointment yesterday, and had a mammogram, ultrasound, fine needle aspiration and a core biopsy. They drained the cyst, but discovered white areas underneath it and calcium?

Now I have to wait two weeks for the results. I'm scared.

I've only just recovered from my heart stopping and now I am worrying about this. I'm 38 btw.

    Hi Sycamore,

A very warm welcome to our forum. I am sorry to hear about the changes in your breasts and, I sincerely hope that nothing untoward is found. You have been thrrough so much, I hope that nothing untoward is found to add to your worries. It is only natural to be scared at this time, particularly when there is a family history of breast cancer.  I  also have a family history and was terrified for those 2 weeks.

It is always worth remembering that it isn't cancer until you're told that it is, so try not to panic. Stay away from Google, as this will only scare you further and serve no useful purpose. PLease let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

Keeping my fingers crossed for good news.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
