I am not a doctor, but I will give you my take on things. Checking the lymph nodes is done routinely, as cancer can spread through the lymph nodes to other organs of the body. The more widespread the cancer has spread and, the more organs it has spread to, the more serious it is. However, it is still treatable, so don't worry yourself unecessarily. If it has spread to the nodes they usually remove them and use chemo.

There are also a lot of different types of breast cancer and outcomes tend to depend upon how aggressive the type that you have is and what grade it is. Your biopsy results should tell you these facts.

We all get scared at this stage - mostly due to fear of the unknown and our imaginations going into overdrive.

It's definitely the waiting that get you isnt it .i guess when you no what your dealing with you can start to process it but at minute the mind is thinking all sorts .I've got everything crossed for the best outcome possible .just hoping it's not spread thank you for all your support

Not long to go now until Wednesday and, I'm sure that you're glad. I know that it seems strange, but irrespective of the outcome, it is easier to deal with once you know exactly what you are up against and can start fighting this with all you have.
