Lumpectomy and sentinal node biopsy numbness

I had my surgery on Tuesday for 2 lumps to be removed and sentinal node biopsy which they said they had to go in deeper for. Does anyone have a numb arm at the back. Touched it and couldn't feel it at the back but everywhere else is fine. Also leaning forward there is sharp pain.

  • Hello Debbietimtom

I'm hoping that you're recovering well from your surgery earlier this week. It is still very early days and it's natural to have some numbness. Hopefully, as things settle and heal you'll regain sensation.

If you'd concerned then do have a chat with your breast care nurse about things or give our nurses a call on 0808 800 4040 (Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm).

    Best wishes,
