I have Crohn's disease which I've experienced similar symtoms to you however my pain is located on the lower right side. You could have Colitis too which they are both an autoimmune system and there is so much treatment out there which manages symptoms. 
 

Do you have other symtoms like going to the toilet and bleeding from the Anus ?

I do think anything nasty would have shown up on the CT but you do need an answer to what is causing your pain then it can be sorted.

Have they done endoscopies?

Also the not knowing will be making you anxious which can affect your bowels.

Don't leave it until you get answers. See a different GP if you have to.

Thank you for your reply, how do I get tested for these conditions can a gp send me for specific tests? Just feel like I'm not getting anywhere I have very loose bm but not noticed blood. Just not sure if the location of my pain could be in colon area although I see a lot of people only tend to get lower abdominal pain.. 

Hi Ineedabreak thanks so much for your reply.. I've only had the ct scan so maybe an endoscopy would be the next best step.. I've had only very loose stool for the last 3-4 weeks and for someone that normally struggles to go I'm now at other end of scale!

when I was around 7 the way they tested it was they would make me get a colonoscopy and then they would get the camera where the intestine was "inflamed". Once they are in that inflammed area they take a few samples like a biopsy which is then sent to a lab and checked for anything. They do this to check for cancer and other autoimmune diseases. Luckily and in most cases you have a higher chance of having an autoimmune disease than cancer. 
 

Inflammation could also be checked in blood tests. For example if you CRP or ESR are raised it's an indication of inflammation in the body which is a good start but the blood test doesn't show where the inflammation is located. However in your case they found the inflammation in your intestines which is why they are doing all of these tests and everything. 
 

I feel like after you get the colonoscopy done everything will be smooth from then. Because I'm sure they will take a few biopsies in the inflammed area and you would get the results soon too. 

Thanks so much Melissa, I will see if I can get a colonoscopy organized and see where we go from there.. can you be put to sleep during this procedure or does it have to be under local anesthetic do you know?
