Lump in breast

I found a tiny lump on the outer part of my breast the other month. It moves between my fingers and when I lift my arm arm it's hard to find it. Found it during the night when I was itching my armpit...so panic mode set in. Found it on the Friday so had to wait till the Monday to ring my doctor. I'm a person that will get anything checked out. I use to work in a hospice so you can imagine.

Anyway spoke to my doctor over the phone then he obviously wanted to see me. Saw the doctor he really checked my breasts over, pressing & pushing etc. He says it's a swollen lymph node. He asked if I had been unwell etc & I did have COVID & that knocked me for 6 he said it could be from that as it's an infection & your body is still fighting it.

anyone else had this?? Also a week later I found out I was pregnant with my second baby and they say that can effect them too. He said it should go on its own eventually. He said if it gets any bigger to come back I check once a week & it hasn't changed at all.

just seeing if anyone else has had the same?

    Hi Nair,

A very warm welcome to our forum. Let me first of all say that I am not a doctor, but it does look as if your GP may be correct. Lymph nodes can swell up due to any infection and Covid is certainly an infection. These usually settle down after a while, although some nodes remain permanently swollen.

Your pregnancy could also cause some hormonal changes in your body, so I sincerely hope that you can get to enjoy your pregnancy and look forward to the arrival of your baby. without worrying about this. Keep checking for a few months, but here's hoping that all settles down for you.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
